Holy cow. I opened this book and was confronted with a description in all caps and a list of recipes, also written in all caps (not hyperlinked), and the first recipe begins immediately after the last item in the recipe list.The first recipe calls for "beef bullion." Far cheaper than the gold bullion, but less tasty than beef bouillon. The author puts all the cooking times in ALL CAPS as well.

The Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches cracked me up. You notice it's called sandwiches, right? Which is some sort of filling on some sort of bread product, as a general rule. It's listed as 300 calories. The book says "For 180 calories more put in whole wheat buns. Total calories count of sandwich will then be 480." That's right - the recipe as originally written is for just the chicken cooked in a bottle of hot wing sauce. If you add a bun, the calorie count goes up.
The Pulled Chicken Sandwiches also says that the rolls/bread aren't included in the nutritional information.
Quite a few recipes call for cans of condensed cream soup. Some are the "reduced fat" variety listed. However, the "Creamy Mushroom Pork Chops" just call for the regular version of cream of chicken and cream of mushroom (and no actual mushrooms).
It's just not pleasant to read, it's essentially unusable without a linked table of contents, and I prefer to avoid cans of condensed cream soup of whatever variety whenever possible. There's just nothing all that original or special here to make it worth keeping.

This book has 17 recipes. They appear easy to follow and have simple ingredients. Also, cooking with a crockpot is simple.
9 of the 17 recipes use chicken, which I like. The other recipes use beef, pork, or ham, with only 1 vegetarian recipe.
Recommended, especially if you want easy-to-prepare chicken dishes.
