I thought I had read all the great sci fi writers, but now I find these new young writers and they've recaptured my interest in the genre! I can't wait for book II
As a new author(s), I thought that this book was excellent. It was a fast read, kept my attention and wants me to read the sequels. The book has some minor weak points but these will be overcome with experience. Great work and I look forward to the next books.
This book was an enjoyable and interesting journey. Although I do not typically read science fiction, I was immediately drawn into the story. The plot thickened with suspense as the story unfolded, the sub plot was revealed throughout the book, and the characters were developed nicely. I am looking forward to discovering the identity of several characters that were not disclosed in the first adventure.
In a sea of sci fi writers, Patti and Garrett stand out as fresh voices. Their careers as high school teachers clearly have blessed them with the gift of vivid imaginations and enthusiastic storytelling.
Though it's not my type of read, it kept my attention and had me wondering what the next step was in this adventure of good vs. bad. Waiting for the second one with bated breath.
From the first page of this book you enter a world (really a universe) full of fantastic energy.
I highly advise fans of all genres (but especially sci fi and fantasy) to consider purchasing this book. 3 days is all it took me to move through this high energy world. it leaves me just salivating for book two. i can see the screenplay adaptation of this book on the big screen, especially in a 3D and IMAX universe. Pick this book up now!!
Don't let the lack of name recognition fool you. These two writers are the coming rage in the science fiction genre. This is an exciting, fast moving and thought-provoking story. I not only can't wait for book 2, I can't wait for the movie. This series truly has the potential to become the next Star Wars.
